What exactly does Health Connect do?

Health Connect helps connect patients from the UK and Ireland with clinics and medical specialists in Lithuania. Depending on the service you choose, we can help identify an appropriate provider, coordinate appointments and communication, and assist with organising your travel and stay.

How do I know which clinic or specialist is right for me?

You don't need to know where to start. We discuss what treatment, consultation or investigation you are looking for and help direct your enquiry to an appropriate clinic or specialist within our network.

Can Health Connect arrange my entire treatment journey?

Yes. Our coordination services can cover communication with the medical team, appointments and treatment dates, as well as travel arrangements such as flights, accommodation and airport transfers.

Do I have to use your travel service?

No. You are completely free to arrange your own flights, accommodation and transport. Our travel support is an optional service for patients who would prefer assistance organising their journey.

What happens if I need help while I am in Lithuania?

Depending on your chosen service, Health Connect can remain your point of contact during your stay and assist with practical arrangements or communication relating to your planned treatment.

Is treatment in Lithuania cheaper or quicker than in the UK or Ireland?

This depends on the treatment, clinic and individual circumstances. Some patients may find shorter waiting times or different private treatment costs in Lithuania. We can help you obtain the relevant information so you can compare your options before deciding.

What happens after I contact Health Connect?

We start by discussing what you are looking for and what support you require. From there, we can help identify the appropriate next step, connect you with a clinic or specialist and, if you choose additional coordination services, help organise the process from enquiry through to travel and treatment.

What should I do if I feel unwell or develop symptoms after returning home?

Before leaving Lithuania, your treating clinic should provide you with appropriate aftercare information and contact details. If you develop concerning symptoms after returning to the UK or Ireland, contact your treating clinic and follow the aftercare instructions provided. You should also contact your GP or local healthcare provider where appropriate. For severe or emergency symptoms, always seek immediate medical assistance in the country where you are located.

Who do I contact if I have questions about my recovery?

For medical questions relating to your procedure, recovery, medication or symptoms, you should contact the clinic or medical team that treated you. Health Connect can assist with communication and coordination where this forms part of your service, but medical advice must come directly from qualified healthcare professionals.

What happens if I experience a complication after treatment abroad?

Your treating clinic will advise you on its specific aftercare and complication procedures before treatment. Depending on the situation, you may need to contact the clinic, your GP or another local healthcare provider. In an emergency, you should always use your local emergency medical services.

Will Health Connect still support me after I return home?

Where post-treatment coordination is included in your chosen service, we can assist with communication between you and the clinic and help with practical coordination. Health Connect does not replace your doctor, GP or emergency medical services and cannot diagnose symptoms or provide medical treatment.
